Happy Easter
Happy Easter all. I hope everyone had a good day. I started my day in a prayer of thanks to God. I didn't go to church today but Gary and Clay did. They went to the early service so got home early. We actually had our holiday meal yesterday since Gary has to work tonight and is sleeping today. I don't think a meal has anything to do with the reason for celebrating Easter, it is just traditional and we enjoy it. I watched two movies this week on the life of Jesus, His death on the cross, and His raising from the grave. They were both good. I am so fortunate to have been introduced to my Saviour at a young age and to have had Him as a part of my life for so long. I have relied on Him so much in my life. If not for Him I would not have made it through some of the situations I let myself get into. I may not belong to a church, I may not attend a church, but my relationship with my Lord and Saviour is strong. I am not without sin but I am sure to confess them and by Jesus' blood I am cleaned. I just seen a post on a site through Blogmad on Christians judging others and mainly it was about homosexuals. I really don't like being lumped in with those Christians who promote hate.

My bible says: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37-40

On this day I am reminded of the greatest love. That love that Jesus had that He would be scourged, beat, spit upon, and ultimately crucified, giving his life for us. If He was capable of that the least I can do is to love my fellow man.

Later. God bless. Teressa.

Dear Teressa, I am glad your Easter was so peaceful and rich. I used to have big holiday dinners, but not so much anymore. I thought at my age my kids would have dinners and invite me, but that doesn't happen. My sisters' kids were here last week and took me out to lunch and had a picnic. That was really nice.

Thanks again for your words of encouragement while I was down. You always seem to know exactly what to say and when to day it.

    Happy Easter.

Nope, I don't lump you in with the hateful people either. My step-mom and I had a discussion about some people and their hatred of homosexuality yesterday. We never mentioned the word Christian.
    Happy easter, a little late!

I try to take my Lexapro right before going to bed so that I'm asleep before it hits. If I take it sooner, it keeps me up. Strange. Also, it is just easier for me to keep sleeping if I want to on the lexapro. I woke up ealier this morning and just didn't want to get up, so I fell right back to sleep.
When I was on Wellbutrin, it took awhile to get my sleep pattern back. It made me hyper for a couple of weeks. But with Lexapro I can almost chose to sleep at anytime and fall asleep and sleep really long hours if I want to. With other drugs, I slept my usual 8 hours, just at unusual times of the day/night. I don't know if any of that made sense!

My view of Christians lately has been less than positive, but you have helped me realize that not all people who consider themselves christian are awful.

You are wonderful Teressa and your good heart shows in every post you write:)

Also, I still have my sleep and meds blog, it's just not listed on my profile. If you want to view it, it is on my links on my Insane blog at the very bottom. It's kinda boring. I note every time I sleep and usually my mood.
I took a nap from 7-10pm tonight, and took my Lexapro about 11 PM, so who knows when I'll sleep now.

Just read your Happy Easter post. You know, you are one Christian lady who talks the talk and walks the walk. I really honour and respect you for that. As you say, and as we all know, there are those "Sunday Christians" who are all pious and stuck on themselves in church, and when the weekdays roll around, they act very unChristian like. You are not like that for all the reasons listed above. Those are the ones who give Christianity a bad name and why many people don't bother much with church. I believe in "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This goes for any religeon. belief, creed or what-have-you. A person who lives their faith as you do is like a shining beacon in a dark world. Thank you for being you...Happy Easter

The stereotypes about Christians today run so deep.
