| More Schtuf |
They are here putting in the new furnace and air unit. It will be nice to have the furnace going again though the little electric oil heaters that the landlord bought for us to use has worked great. I am just in fear of what they are doing to our electric bill. The new furnace going in is going to be nice. It should be more energy efficient. The old one was either 20 or 30 years old. I can't remember now. I think it was 30. As old as the apartments.
We let Clay open one gift this morning and he opened the Nintendo Game Cube that the person/s from church got for him. He is now in his room playing on it instead of being bored stiff. I can't wait until he opens his phone. I just hope we can figure out how to get it working.
My mom is sick with a chest cold. She still has the shingles and the gall bladder problems. She is also overwhelmed at the changes that have taken place in her home in the last few months. Max having the stroke, him also having cancer, then moving my granny in with her. She has really become dependent on my sister Tracy for help in dealing with all of this. She is so sick and Max and granny have to be taken care of and now Tracy is not there. She has only been gone since Wednesday but I guess it feels like longer to my mother. Tracy has her husband and her own life to live but my mom seems to think that because she has no children that Tracy should just stay with her and help. Tracy is feeling guilt for leaving her husband for so long and then for leaving my mom with no help. I told Tracy how much I appreciate what she has done. There was no one else who could of stepped up like she did.
I received two Christmas cards in my e-mail. To Lisa and Tiny I say "Thank you so much."
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Remember the reason for the day. The birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am so thankful that He was born and then that he gave His life for mine.

Your poor Mom. Is there a church they go to that have volunteers that help? Well, you know to keep praying for them all and you know there's a Higher Power in charge.

I am so happy Clay likes his GameCube, like you said he won't be bored. Kids get bored so easily these days. When I was young, I never did tell my mother I was bored because she would find something for me to do around the house,he he. I stayed out of her way. I feel so sorry for your mother, shingles and gallbladder attacks must make it much harder to deal with Max and grannie but you are right your sister has done what she can for now. It is so hard with family I havn't seen my own mother in over 4 years and when things go on in Bermuda there is nothing I can do. This is what is good about the computer, we can all keep up and it costs nothing (well, the cable bill) phone calls for me are out of the question. We are all kind of circling the waggons this holiday, and checking up with each other, and supporting those here who need caring support. This is what I love about our group here, if you need help and understanding, just reach out and someone is up at their computer no matter what time it is to be there for you....take care
