Proud Momma
First of report on my mother and sister. My mother says that the shingles seem to be getting better and my sister is doing great, she sounds like her old self.

We still haven't found out anything on the Gary front. Waiting and letting God.

Had a surprise this morning with the paper. In the Education section there is my son's name for "Student of the Week". I have a big head this morning, so please bare with me, lol. It says: "Reason for Student of the Week recognition: Clay is just an all-around good student. He participates in class discussion and asks intelligent questions. He also helps out around the school and is a team player." There are around 600 students in his class. I pray that he continues to do as well as he gets older. I know we are going to go through changes but I hope that he still wants to help others and do his best. I hope that drugs and drinking does not enter our picture. If it does it won't be because I haven't tried to keep them out. I am aware of how the teenage years can change a child. He is on his medicines and they seem to be helping. He told me the other night that he no longer thinks of killing himself. I was so happy. He is losing weight and looking good. Things really seem to be well with him. I am going to feel really bad this Christmas when all there is is one gift for him under the tree, but it is the best we can do. He deserves so much more. I know that gifts are not the reason for Christmas but kids come to expect more. He says that he understands but I know that when he goes back to school and the others are talking about everything they got that he will feel out of place. Oh well, it will just be a memory of days gone by eventually.

I am doing fine. My anxiety level is high but that is to be expected going off of the Klonopin. I am shaking all the time. I hope the new drug works though I don't have too much faith in it. We will see. Take care all.

Later. God bless. Teressa.

Congratulations to Clay and to you! I can see why you would be so proud. I read this post and felt terrible that I was just complaining on my blog about having to go Christmas shop for our kids and all. I'm very fortunate and sometimes I forget that. Your Clay IS very smart for understanding about the gifts. Your love will always be the most enduring gift he could have!

What a wonderful surprise!!! Did you go get extra copies??
Glad your mom is doing better, is she going to do the gallbladder removal soon then?
I hate waiting!! It's so hard!!
Best of luck coming off the Klonpin. Good thing you are able to sleep. I know when I went off Xanax before by switching to Klonopin and a tapering schedule off Klonopin, there were quite a few restless nights.
Take care sweetie. I'm a little behind in reading and commenting, but starting to catch up!
