This and That |
I am tired and will be hitting the hay pretty soon here. Today we had to have the furnace guy come out again as the furnace pilot kept going out once more. He has to come back tomorrow to put on a new part. I hope it will stay lit tonight as it didn't last night and got very cold in here. It actually doesn't bother me because when I get snuggled in my blanket I am fine, but Clay tends to kick the covers off of himself and I worry about that. The presents for Clay were delivered this evening. Along with them was sent about a 22 lb. turkey, a 20 lb. ham, and a $200 dollar wally world shopping card. I was surprised. The Lord really blesses us. I have to tell you. We barely had room in our freezer for my ice when we got home the other night from grocery shopping. It was still full except that Clay and Gary's ice cream was gone and a couple packages of hot dogs as well as a box of fish. So pretty full and we had no idea how that turkey and ham was going to go in there. I had finished my ice earlier today and Clay brought me what was left of my ice cream so I could eat it. He unloaded the rest of the freezer to put the two big items in and repack it. When he repacked it it all fit! I think I even have room for some ice. It was a miracle. I was running through my mind ways in which I could store those things. Like who I could ask to use freezer space from. All I have is that little freezer above the frig. Anyway, the Lord works in mysterious ways indeed. Tomorrow Donna comes. Maybe, LOL. Who knows with her. I have the furnace man coming too. Then the man from Independent Living called tonight to set up a time for Thursday afternoon with me. I really dread that. I don't want to do this. I am doing more for myself. Everyone says I need to do this though. I think letting someone come in and take care of me was the beginning of the end to begin with. I listened to everyone that time too. Oh well.
Later. God bless. Teressa. |

*big grin*...nothun better than having a freezer full of food...except when you turn off the wrong power point or leave the door ajar a bit [stoopid cord kept it open] then not notice fer three days. i will add this is a separate freezer i am blithering on about and out of the usual traffic thoroughfare...therefore i am not a COMPLETE ninkinpoop...but enough of one to do it twice mind you. lol.

Wow! I'm so happy that you got those gifts, the food, the gift card. People really can be good, it's just a shame that spirit doesn't last all year. Enjoy that feast when the time comes!
Thanks for your words on my blog. It means a lot, really!

I was so happy when I heard about the gifts for Clay and all the beautiful food you were able to get for your Christmas dinner. (happiness is having too many frozen food items to fit in the freezer!) I bet this is a sign that things are gonna be alright with you and your family....
