I am OK
Sorry all. I am OK. Thank you for caring about me and reaching out. I guess that the Depakote is causing this feeling of blahness. I just have lost interest in everything. It is like I am numb. Like my emotions have been ripped from me. Nothing interests me. Blogging has become near to impossible. I am trying to get past this.

Clay is out of school now for the holidays. Monday was his last day as he was exempt from finals and still had the 2 free days left but he went yesterday so that he could ride the bus home with a friend and go to the Christmas parade here in town. He is so bored here at home alone with me. He is out until I think January 3d. He has quite a few days of boredom ahead. At least his new case manager came and took him to play pool Monday and maybe he will do that next week.

Gary is all worried about the change in our living. Getting the new place for him is really bothering him I can tell because he has made remarks that are bothersome. I was able to dress myself the other day all by myself and he said, "pretty soon you won't need me". I laughed it off. Then Monday night I got my own shower and Tuesday morning when he knew about it he said, "soon you won't need me for anything.". It hit me. I told him that I would always need him. I realized why he was saying these things and that made me sad. Gary has a big thing about being abandoned. His mother giving him up really left him scarred.

Later. God bless. Teressa.

First of all, I am so happy to see you posted again. I was really becoming quite concerned about you.

Second, congratulations on being able to do some of those things for yourself. It's unfortunate that Gary feels that because of your ability, he will be unnecessary in the relationship. I've had those same fears/concerns in my own relationship so I can understand completely. You did the right thing, just keep letting him know that he will ALWAYS be needed. Some of us require an inordinate amount of reassurance.

Thats great that you are finally able to do those things alone. As for Gary, just reassure him that you will always need him emotionally, and thats whats most important!

So glad to see you are able to post, even though it was hard for you to do so. Have sympathy for Gary, but don't let it stop you from doing what you can for yourself. It's the same for me. While I am like I am now, fat and in pain and depressed, Gene is good to me, just bitches about what I don't do around the house. When I try to improve myself in any way, lose wt. or whatever I get the business. I hate that it is this way for you and me because in my case I feel guilty for everything and put everybody elses feelings ahead of my own. We all have issues like this in or lives. I say, do what you can about the house and yourself....Gary will come round

It's got to be hard on everyone right now. Breaking up the family because of stupid diability laws.
I'm sorry you are so numb. I sometimes think I'd raher be depressed than numb. At least that way I know I'm feeling something. If that makes any sense.
Glad Clay will be around to help out, but it sounds like you are becoming able to do more and more for yourself. That is wonderful.
Maybe you need to have a talk with Gary and let him know that even if you were in perfect health, you still love him and need him because he is your hubby or however you would express it in your own words.
I'm glad to hear from you. Even if you are feeling numb. Like to know how you are doing, the good, the bad, the ugly and the great.
    Take care!
    Babs

I'm adding something else because my answer yesterday was abrupt and rude to Gary. I need to stop commenting based on my own experience when it comes to relationships. I meant to say, that I feel very sorry for Gary in this instance. You should not have to make a choice between medical coverage and having your husband living with you as he should be. The way I see it, feeling numb is a way of living from day-to-day with an unbearable problem. I am sending loving and supporting thoughts to you for eveything you are going thru. I am so sorry. Hopefully some other way will be found...tell Gary you love him same as always and you both will work with this together....

Good to see you back I was worried about you. Every step forward is a reason for celebration. Congrats.
Every step will make you stronger, and you can do it.
